- In 1972, an American company, Kubota Tractor Corporation, was formed. As this new
U.S. company was getting started, the powerful compact tractors were already gaining a reputation for high quality and durability. New models, larger and smaller than the L200,
were introduced and sales increased steadily. In 1974, Kubota demonstrated its innovation and responsiveness by introducing a 12 H.P. four-wheel drive tractor. Although four-wheel
drive was common among larger American tractors, it was unheard of in small models. Like its predecessor, the L200, this B6000 was an immediate success.
- Today, Kubota Tractor Corporation celebrates over 25 years in America. It continues to
expand its product line to fill additional "market gaps" with
various lines of tractors. In addition, Kubota has successfully introduced compact construction
equipment turf care equipment, a full line of consumer power products, lawn and garden
equipment, pumps and generators and a variety of Kubota-made implements and
attachments.
